I am the teacher previously known as Ms. Simms. This summer, I got the pleasure of marrying my best friend and am now known as Mrs. Silva. I am from Florida, but moved to California three years ago. I love to travel, cook, try new restaurants, and be outdoors. I hold two Bachelor's Degrees and a Master's Degree, a teaching credential in Florida as well as a clear teaching credential here in California. I came here with 5 years of teaching experience focused in 6th grade English and middle school Creative Writing. My first year at MIT H.S., I taught 9th grade English, and this year will be my second year in my role as Instructional Coach. I absolutely love my job and supporting our teachers so they can better serve our students. I am excited for another year as part of the GTA community.
