Mayoral Debate
School News and Updates
  • The Mayoral Debate was a great success. All 4 mayoral candidates answered questions created and posed by Justice and the Law students. What a great way for our students to get involved with the community!

School Site Council Volunteers needed
  • The School Site Council (SSC) represents parents, students, community members and school staff in school governance. The SSC is responsible for review and input into the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP), Identifying resources to support LCAP initiatives, review of student performance data to determine needs, review and input into the distribution of Title I funds. This committee will meet virtually every 4-6 weeks for approximately 2 hours. Because we are meeting virtually, volunteers do not need to go through a rigorous clearance process. For School Site Council for the 24/25 school year, we need the Director (me), 3 MIT teachers (actively teaching), 1 non-teaching staff (classified or certificated), and five total parents/guardians/family members, students, and community members. We are seeking interested people for all positions (except the Director).

Important Reminders
  • If you are staying after school for ANY reason (clubs, sports, etc), we need you to complete this registration form to ensure we have the correct emergency contact information. All students staying after school for any reason now need to check in at the MPR (sign in), then go to their respective activity. While in the MPR you will also have the opportunity to get a snack from the cafeteria.
  • Come in Dress Code every day. If you need assistance purchasing clothes, please inform the main office. Students out of dress code are subject to a $15 charge for replacement items.
  • School attendance is extremely important. Be sure you are in class on time every day to every class. This helps ensure that you are not missing important learning, and it helps fund important programs at the school! Plus! you might just earn a Dutch Bros gift card!. Remember, we will be enforcing our attendance policy as outlined in the student handbook.
