MIT HS: Free Dress Day (Friday, 11/21/25) in Recognition of Safety Drill Excellence

Hello MIT High School Students and Families,
MIT High School students earned a Free Dress Day tomorrow for EXCELLENCE in the intruder/active shooter drill on Tuesday. Students and staff did a great job jamming doors, building barricades, and staying quiet. We appreciate everyone’s commitment to student and staff safety.
Remember that Free Dress Day requires more effort and care than donning dress code attire. We cannot dictate every type of clothing article. Please use common sense to show respect for the learning environment as well as adhere to the guidelines below.
Free Dress Day Guidelines
1. Free Dress Day is not a Pajama Day. No pj bottoms or pj onesie.
2. Shoes must be worn at all times and suitable (e.g. sneakers). No Crocs, slip-ons, or sandals.
3. Clothing, jewelry, and personal items shall be free of writing, pictures or any other insignia which are crude, vulgar, profane or sexually suggestive, which bear drug, alcohol or tobacco company advertising, promotions, and likenesses, or which advocates racial, ethnic or religious prejudice.
4. Clothes shall be sufficient to conceal undergarments at all times. See-through or fish-net fabrics, halter tops, off-the-shoulder or low-cut tops, bare midriffs and skirts or shorts with hemlines above the fingertips of a natural arm hang are prohibited.
Kind Regards,
Lai Saeteurn, Director of Schools
