MIT HS: MIT House Recognition - WEREWHELPS

Hello MIT Scholars and Families,
All MIT HS students are placed into one of four houses:
Bearloch
Dragold
Seacrest
Werewhelps
Students earn points for their houses through:
academic achievement
sports and extracurricular activities
acts of community service and kindness
Leaderships and contributions
Attendance and punctuality
Creative endeavors and projects
As part of our Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports, houses are awarded special recognitions throughout the year. As the top-scoring house, the Werewhelps earned a Free Dress Day tomorrow, Friday, October 9, 2026.
This announcement was posted in the Werewhelps Google Classroom. Student house assignments are also listed in each student’s Minga account, and teachers will have a roster of Werewhelp House members. A dress code check will be conducted. Please show respect to the Werewhelps for their achievement. If you are not a member of the Werewhelps House, you are in dress code.
Remember that Free Dress Day requires more effort and care than donning dress code attire. We cannot dictate every type of clothing article. Please use common sense to show respect for the learning environment as well as adhere to the guidelines below.
Free Dress Day Guidelines
Not a Pajama Day: Pajama bottoms, onesies, and loungewear are not permitted.
Footwear: Shoes must be suitable for school activities (e.g., sneakers) and worn at all times. Crocs, slip-ons, slides, and sandals are not allowed.
Appropriate Imagery & Text: Clothing, jewelry, and personal items must be free of writing, pictures, or insignia that are crude, vulgar, profane, or sexually suggestive. Items promoting drugs, alcohol, or tobacco, or advocating racial, ethnic, or religious prejudice, are strictly prohibited.
Coverage Requirements: Clothing must completely conceal undergarments at all times. See-through or fishnet fabrics, halter tops, off-the-shoulder or low-cut tops, bare midriffs, and skirts or shorts with hemlines above fingertip length when arms are hung naturally at the sides are prohibited.
A special thank you to Mr.Hill for leading the MITA House system. Much gratitude to all the staff for their collaboration and teamwork.
